Dont Judge The Glory If You Dont Know The Story!

So it has been a whole month since my last blog post, and I think this is something that needs to be talked about.
So, I was always raised to think that a homeless person begging for money was just them being too lazy to work, and not putting enough effort into it. The older I got the more intense my questioning furthered. The more it went into, "I bet they are just going to use that money for drugs". Then I started to think this past year, well what if God said that every time we asked for something? What if God turned us down, and said," nope, you are going to use that food to get fat, you are going to use that new car to rub it in someone's face, nope you do not need it".

Who are we as Christians to judge a person begging on the street asking for money, or food?

Who are we to say who is worthy or not of food and money?

I am talking about myself here. I am also talking about the humanity of people everywhere! I just now started to realize and understand why people do what they do. I recently started working for a church, they have a program called the Deacon Fund, what this fund does is, helps people with one bill a month. I have heard so many stories over the months working here, that break my heart. I believe that this is God working on me and my heart, I think if we took time and told homeless people and those begging, about Jesus, maybe they wouldn't be struggling as much.

Maybe it would give them that hope and extra faith to move forward. So, I'll say it again, Dont judge the Glory if you dont know the Story! Lets start talking to these people and understanding where they come from before we judge them.

So this is the picture that started all this blog business. My name is Sha-ri and I have always had a problem with self-esteem, whether is has been because of a break-up or because of the things that happened in my childhood.

I should have never listened to the people who put me down, in fact I should have been putting my faith and trust in God that he would see me through. Instead, I started to wear heavy make-up thinking that that would make me pretty, no amount of make-up will make you pretty.

If YOU do not love yourself, how can you expect anyone else to love you? God loves you, he will always, love you. If you are stuck like I was or as a result of an awful childhood, you do not feel worthy or beautiful do you? I remember feeling that way.

I was reading statistics, in 2010, women in all races, ages 15-24 died from suicide. Then from ages 25-34 it went to the number 3 spot...Wow, I am sad, that makes me extremely sad, while I am sitting here thinking about those statistics making me think, that could have been me. Then reading on, to the women that died last year, the ones that wrote a suicide letter, said it was because they were so depressed, about looks, a guy, or just simply could not carry on anymore. I remember being in that state, feeling like no one would ever love me, that is lies of the enemy.

John 10:10 says, The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

What about being ugly, unwanted, or unworthy is life? The meriam webster dictionary definition of Life is noun,  the ability to grow, change, etc. : the period of time when a person is alive : the experience of being alive. Even a non religious writing tells us that life is living, growing, and changing.

What I want to accomplish with this blog is to have people come and share their stories. To tell women maybe contemplating suicide, feeling unwanted, or simply feeling ugly, that is not the way to go. I know its hard, I've been there. Some days, I do not always feel pretty but that is when I think really hard and remember that there is a God and he loves me even if I wear make-up that day or not. Even if you do not believe that there is a God, this blog is still to uplift and encourage you to be  a living being.

You are beautiful!

Now, if you have a sour attitude about life, yeah, well then you might be ugly.I do not care about your race, age, height, weight,if you have wrinkles, if you have a face full of freckles, you are each unique.

Do not let the things of your past overcome the greatness for having a great future!

I used to think that God hated me, for giving me the life he did. He was only gearing me up for what amazing road he is going to pave ahead. Ladies if your life is hard now, and you are contemplating living it or not, I promise you, IT IS worth living.

Remember it is not about how much make-up you wear, or if you have the latest styles of clothing on, it is your soul that is beautiful, Proverbs 31:30 says, For charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
